Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) speaker Sharingain Longkumer, deputy chief minister Y. Patton and Ex-Parliamentarians Association of Nagaland (Ex-PAN) have expressed pain over the demise of former MLA of 22- Arkakong constituency (1993-98), Er. Süwalemba. He was 77.
Speaker: NLA speaker Sharingain Longkumer said late Sualemba was a dynamic and dedicated man who worked sincerely for the welfare and upliftment of his constituency and the people of Nagaland.
Longkumer said Sualemba demise has caused a great loss to the Nagas in general and the Ao community in particular and the void created by him would be difficult to fill.
On behalf the members of the 13th NLA, Longkumer conveyed heartfelt condolences to Mrs. Sualemba and the bereaved family members.
Longkumer prayed that Almighty God grant solace and comfort to the bereaved family at this house of grief and also for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
DY CM: Recollecting his association, deputy chief minister, Y. Patton said late Er. Sowalemba Longkumer as a man of word and integrity.
His passing away at this juncture was a great loss for the Nagas, he said.
On behalf of the state BJP legislators, Patton conveyed deepest condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed to rest in eternal peace.
Ex-PAN: Ex-Parliamentarians Association of Nagaland said the association was pained to have lost a very simple, humble and down to earth person like Er. Süwalemba.
Ex-Ex-Parliamentarians Association of Nagaland president Joshua Sumi and vice president Medokul Sophie expressed deepest condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that departed soul rest in peace.
Er. Süwalemba served as E.E (Roads & Bridges) before entering into active politics.
He had served as member of Indian Road Congress and also as joint secretary of Assam Board of Engineering Association, Ex-PAN stated.
