GPRN/NSCN expressed profound grief at the demise of ‘Maj.’ Thongo Konyak, S/o Puchang of Yangkho village, Konyak region, who breathed last on June 14. A condolence note from GPRN/NSCN through its MIP stated that, lat Thongo served the nation wholeheartedly till his last breath and was enrolled in Naga Army in the year 1992, undergoing hardships and facing adversaries during those turbulent years. It stated that his immense contributions and sacrificial towards Naga nation will ever be cherished and remembered in the annals of the Naga history by the Nagas. GPRN/ NSCN further conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed the departed soul to rest in peace.
