Nagaland COVID tally nears 200 mark

90 active and 103 recovered cases

With 14 fresh COVID-19 positives cases registered in Nagaland on Wednesday, the state’s tally is set to touch the 200 mark.

According to the Health department’s data, out of 14 positive cases, 12 were reported from Mon quarantine centre and one each from Dimapur and Tuensang quarantine centres. All positive cases have been shifted to the designated COVID-19 hospitals for treatment.

Further, it also stated that three more patients from Dimapur had recovered from the deadly virus. They have shifted to the COVID care centre for observation.

The state’s tally as on June 17 stood at 193– 90 active and 103 recovered cases.

As per the distribution of the 193 positive cases by age, there are 4 cases between 0-17 years, 182 cases between 18-44 years, 5 cases between 45-64 years and 2 cases between 65-74 years. As per the distribution of gender, there are 124 males and 69 females.

Results of 1028 awaited: Out of 7202 samples (cumulative) sent for testing, 6174 were received and the results of 1028 samples were awaited. 

Out of the 7202 samples, BSL-3 lab received 4569 samples out of which 3910 were tested.
