With an aim to encourage music lovers and also discover young talented singers and as part of the Wold Music Day celebration, YOLO Music & Arts Society, Meluri organized an “Online Singing Contest” on June 21 through social media-facebook particularly for the people of Phocury under Phek district.
During the contest, Dejuve Yugho was adjudged as the winner while Lolia Ngouri and Lingling Yan were placed in the first and second runners-up respectively. The award for the youngest participant was bagged by Atusa Katiry (5 years) and promising upcoming artist award by Avikiirhe Ngouri.
The winner received an amount of Rs. 5000/-, first runner-up Rs. 2000/- and second runner-up Rs. 1000 respectively with certificates. The youngest participant and the promising upcoming artist also received a cash amount of Rs. 1000/- each with certificates.
