Certified healers from Tuensang

To promote and revive the dying folk art of traditional community healthcare service provider, the NECU an empanelled body has certified 12 more traditional healers from Tuensang district. 

A press release by North East Traditional Healers Association (NETHA) president Dr. Y. Hesheto Chishi stated that, Traditional Community Healthcare Provider (TCHP) certification programme of Quality Council of India (QCI) New Delhi has been actively engaged in the certification programme. Altogether Nagaland has got 26 certified traditional healers, 14 from Dimapur and 12 from Tuensang, highest among the North East states. The 4th batch of NECU was conducted in the month of February from 17 to 19 for Tuensang district Nagaland. The 12 successful traditional healers are 11 male, and 1 female qualified for common ailments, arthritis, and bone setting domains.
