
In view of the detection of COVID-19 positive cases, the deputy commissioner (DC) Kohima Gregory Thejawelie has demarcated two locations and notified that Mima village as “sealed area” in order to contain the spread of the disease/infection and for necessary contact tracing. In a notification, DC Kohima stated that all movement of person/vehicles within the defined sealed area was strictly restricted/prohibited and under active surveillance with immediate effect.
Merapani: Additional deputy commissioner Bhandari, Tiameren Chang in an order on August 9 has declared six colonies of Merapani village (Marachu Yan) under Bhandari sub-division, as sealed areas. Meri Colony, Church Colony, Medical Colony, Landong Colony, Tsumang Colony and NST Colony were sealed in order to contain the spread of infection and to initiate active surveillance and contact tracing with immediate effect. All vehicular and public movements were also declared restricted within the demarcated colonies and were placed under active surveillance immediately under the order.
