
Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation (ENPO) and Tuensang Village Chongpho Citizens (TVCC) have condemned the killing of late Mulong Chang, secretary Chang region, NSCN/GPRN (Khango) by cadres of the same political group at Tuensang on August 4.
ENPO: Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation (ENPO) in a condemnation note through its media cell stated that, the incident is contrary to the December 18, 2007 Tuensang resolution and December 18, 2019 Tuensang peace agreement. It has appealed all concerned to honour the sentiments of public for peace and tranquillity and refrain from merciless killing.
Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation also urged the investigating agency to take appropriate legal action as per the law of the land. Further, ENPO conveyed deep condolences to the bereaved family members.
TVCC: In a condemnation by its president N Ajong, the council urged law enforcing agencies to initiate legal action and not to grant bail to those involved in the incident. Further, the council warned that such belligerent and inhuman act by any individual or groups within the soil of Changpho Khel would not be tolerated. TVCC also urged all political groups to respect December 12, 2007 Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation resolution in maintaining peace and tranquillity within its jurisdiction.
