Deputy commissioner Phek Sachin Jaiswal in a notification has issued new guidelines and rules relating to institutional quarantine centres from August 10 for new returnees and travellers entering the district as per the August 4 SOP notified by the Home department.
A press release from DC office Phek stated that, the guidelines will be applied to all the new returnees entering the district from August 10; All returnees will have to undergo seven days of mandatory institutional quarantine and 14 days in home quarantine; Returnees will be charged Rs 350 per day in the institutional quarantine facility for food; Any returnees willing to arrange their own food from outside may do so by depositing it at the designated common kitchen. The food should be mandatorily packed in single use disposal containers and preferably of biodegradable materials; The returnees on completion of their institutional quarantine period shall arrange their own mode of transportation for going home.
