Deputy commissioner (DC) Peren, Sentiwapang Aier, NCS has informed that in view of the detection of COVID-19 positive cases in Ahthibung sub-division and to take effective measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the houses in Ahthibung town listed below are hereby sealed with immediate effect till further order: House numbers 93, 8, 53, 43 of C block and house number 41 of B block.
According to DIPR report, DC also directed the Medical department to immediately commence contact tracing and other medical protocols as per the laid down SOPs.
Order also stated that the sealed area shall be cordoned off and all persons within the sealed area are advised to follow all safety precautions, such as wearing of mask, frequently washing hands and maintenance of physical distancing.
Any person found violating this Order will be liable to be prosecuted as per the provisions of Sec. 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 besides legal action under Sec. 188 of the IPC.
Meanwhile, the ADC of Jalukie issued an order that sealed houses/houses bearing GB’s house numbers 1 and 10 respectively at High School Colony (Ward 3) in Jalukie town is hereby lifted immediately with effect from August 18.
