Naga United Village Council along with GBs, VDBs, women society, youth society, students union, churches’ office bearers and Leo Club of Dimapur (LCD) carried out cleanliness drives at their respective jurisdictions.
Naga United Village: Naga United Village Council, GBs, VDBs, women society, youth society, students union and churches office bearers conducted the cleanliness drive at the Chathe river side area on August 29.
A press release by Naga United Village stated that, in a short meeting held at the village entry gate, the village council chairman challenged all to take a stand for the good of the community. He also encouraged the churches to come together to support through prayer. On the same note, he further warned all the people who come to drink alcohol, abuse drugs, indulge in immoral activities and throw garbage in the village area would be fined Rs 5000. Strict discipline will be initiated as per the village resolution, he added.
LCD: Leo Club of Dimapur (LCD) cleaned the Flyover Bridge near Railway Station, an area allotted to them by Dimapur Municipal Council.
A press release by LCD PRO Sneha Jain stated that, the initiative was supported and witnessed by the executive members of Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) and Dimapur Naga Students Union (DNSU).
LCD also felicitated the sanitary workers for their social services rendered. Cleanliness drive was conducted under the chairmanship of Ankit Paharia and leadership of Vishal Patni.
