
Total lockdown in four areas of Mon district: DC Mon, Thavaseelan K has notified that total lockdown has been enforced from August 29 to September 4 at Aboi town, Ngangching and Aopao villages under Mon district with the following conditions: Movement of public and private vehicles is strictly prohibited except on medical emergencies; All business/commercial establishments and shops shall remain closed, pharmacies were exempted; Not more than 20 persons will be permitted in case of funerals; No movement will be permitted in or out of Aboi, Ngangching and Aopao villages. Public have been requested to comply and any person found violating the order will be penalised under relevant provisions of the law.
Nagaland to celebrate Rashtriya Poshan Maah: Nagaland will join the nationwide campaign on POSHAN Abhiyaan and will celebrate Rashtriya Poshan Maah from September 1 to 30. Various programmes will be organised at district/block and village level with participation from the different sections of the society. All activities will be uploaded on Jan Andolan Dashboard at poshanabhiyaan.gov.in uploaded in the different social media for creating mass movement.
Spelling bee competition cancelled: Fountain Club Kohima (FCK) has informed that annual Nagaland spelling bee competition has been cancelled this year due to COVID-19 pandemic. The event will be conducted as and when situation improves and FCK has asked students to continue learning the words.
TUM new team of office bearers: Tenyimia Union Mokokchung (TUM) held an installation programme for new team of office bearers and executive members at Tenyimia Building, Mokokchung on August 29. The new team for 2020-23 will be headed by president Dr. Visakho Shünyü, vice president Kupeusing Meru and general secretary Er. Shalo Keppen along with four others and six tribal representatives.
