With 15 fresh COVID cases being reported from across the state– 4 in Kohima, 8 in Dimapur, 1 each Mokokchung, Tuensang and Mon, the tally rose to 5,229.
Further, out of the 5229 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people include 2464 from the armed forces/police, 1415 returnees, 320 frontline workers and 1030 cases traced contacts.
Meanwhile, a total of 619 persons were presently under facility quarantine.
India’s COVID tally 50 lakh
PTI: COVID-19 case tally crossed the 50-lakh mark Tuesday with the government saying that number of recoveries in India was amongst the highest in the world. PTI tally, compiled from the data provided by states showed that the total number of cases stand at 50,05,963.
