
SDO (Trans) Mokokchung informs: SDO (Trans) Mokokchung transmission division has informed all consumers under Mon, Longleng districts and also Changtongya and Tuli area under Mokokchung district that jungle cutting along 66KV Mokokchung–Tuli transmission line will commence from October 29. Supply of power will be disrupted occasionally till the work is completed and affected consumers have been requested to bear with the inconvenience.

NGBF meeting rescheduled: Nagaland Gaonburas Federation (NGBF) has rescheduled its meeting to November 2 and 3 consecutively at Tourist Lodge, Dimapur. All the presidents and general secretaries of district GBs Association including Tsemingyu, Melori and Noklak, office bearers of NGBF have been requested to attend positively.
LSU executive meeting: Leshemi Students’ Union (LSU) has convened an executive meeting on October 31, 11 a.m at community hall Leshemi village. All the executive/advisory board/ representative have been requested to attend the meeting positively.
DWO Mokokchung informs: District welfare officer (DWO), Mokokchung, T. Aoakum Longchar has informed that payment will be made at DWO office during working hours for the schemes, namely, Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme (IGNOAPS), Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme (IGNWPS), Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme (IGNDPS) and State Old Age Pension Scheme (SOAPS). All the concerned council chairman have been requested to come in person or to authorize one or two council members (along with the seal) to receive the payment of the above mentioned schemes for all the beneficiaries under their respective village or ward. As directed, beneficiaries will not be entertained to personally collect the pension payment. Further, the authorized persons should produce life certificate of the beneficiaries from the respective pastor of the church along with the pension payment book of all the beneficiaries under its concerned jurisdiction to draw the pension benefits.
