With regard to the education department of Nagaland announcing resuming of all educational institutes for normal classes, Central Nagaland Students Association (CNSA) after a consultative meeting with its units on March 13, 2021 decided to launch the mission, “back to school”.
In a press release, CNSA president Himato Yeptho and general secretary Lipemo M Tsopoe stated that the purpose of the mission was mainly to check the attendance of government school teachers, to check if school uniforms and textbooks were rightly delivered to the students to make sure mid-day meals were provided.
With regards to this mission, CNSA has urged concerned department and teachers to cooperate as and when the team visits its department and schools.
Having learned that there were issues hampering normal functions of schools such as non availability/shortage of textbooks, school uniforms not being issued and irregularities of teachers, CNSA stated that it felt that launching the mission was much required.
For success of the mission, CNSA has further assured to remain vigilant in its jurisdictions: Dimapur, Wokha, Mokokchung and Zunheboto along with its units, Lotha Students Union (LSU), All Sumi Students’ Union (SKK) and Ao Students’ Conference (AKM).
