Dimapur District Ao GB Union (DDAGBU) has clarified that the formation of Dimapur District GBs Association (DDGBA) through election in the presence of president and general secretary of Nagaland GB Federation was against the constitution of NGBF Article 8 as well as Dimapur District GB’s constitution article 14.
In a press release, DDAGBU president, A Taku Longkumer and general secretary, Temsupok Jamir stated that DDAGBU strongly supported the search committee report which was approved by majority in the general meeting on November 24, 2018 and not by way of election.
Further, DDAGBU extended its support to All Angami Goab Burah Association (ANGBA) and Chakroma GBs Association (CGBA) resolution.
It also stated that DDGBA “should follow the Naga customary norms” and the constitution of NGBF and DDGBA of selection/nominations and not by election.
