At least 13 houses and six granaries were completely destroyed in major fire that broke out at Totok Chingha, 20kms away from Mon district head quarters on April 3 night.
According to reports, the fire broke out at around 10 p.m. Saturday and was likely caused by a short circuit in the electrical wiring. No injuries and casualties were reported in the incident. Fire personnel swung into action and with the villagers, the fire was brought under control after several hours.
