With the surge of Covid-19 positive cases across the country and in the state, the state government and Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) have been issuing directives and taking preventive measures to contain the spread of the virus.
HPBWC: Following the directives of the deputy commissioner (DC) to keep only 33% shops opened at Hongkong market, the Hazi Park Business Welfare Committee (HPBWC) has enforced fresh SOPs in all blocks of the market.
In a press release, HPBWC president Hukato V Achumi stated that in the outer side, alternate shops were open in odd-even manner, while where shops are in long rows inside; one side shops will remain open while the other side will remain closed on alternate days.
All the shopkeepers have been advised to follow the DC’s order strictly and see that only 33% shops are open in order to contain the spread of COVID-19.
HPBWC have also advised shopkeepers to maintain social distancing, wear masks compulsorily and use hand sanitizers and also insist customers to do the same.
DC Dimapur: DC & DDMA chairman Dimapur, Rajesh Soundararajan has ordered the sealing of SBI, Diphupar branch for 48 hours from the date of this order.
DC also informed that Nagaland industrial development corporation limited, behind Hotel Saramati, Supermarket complex Dimapur, house number EWS-02/house number EWS-03 and NIT Campus, Chümoukedima have been sealed till further orders.
During the sealing, necessary sanitisation of the premises would be done by the management.
Any person violating these containment measures would be penalised as per the provisions of Section 51 to 60 of the Disaster management Act, 2005 besides legal action under IPC Section 188.
Meanwhile, the DC informed that Holotoli School Padumpukhuri has been sanitised and all precautionary measures have been taken as per government guidelines.
In this regard, DC has declared that the school has been unsealed from the date of this order.
ADC Tuensang: Additional deputy commissioner & administrator Tuensang Town Council (TTC), Tuensang, Ajit Kumar Verma has issued an order to ensure the better record keeping of visitors/customers at various business establishments for necessary contact tracing in future.
The ADC has directed all the hotels, restaurants, lodges, bakeries, wholesalers, general shops, hardware, barber shops, beauty parlors and big business establishments engaging with large number of customers to mandatorily keep a register in order to maintain the details of visitors /customers on day-to-day basis as per following format: name; contact number; alternate contact number; full address; time in and time out.
Any non-compliance of this order would lead to suspension/cancellation of trade license and other penal action under relevant provision of law.
DC Phek: DC Phek, Razouvolie Dozo has issued instructions for all public transport owners (bus/taxi)
DC has informed all public/ private transport counters functioning within Phek district shall mandatorily maintain a register to record details of all passengers on daily basis.
The register should compulsorily contain date wise information with detailed address & contact number of each passenger; the station superintendent (NST), Phek will be responsible for its implementation
ANTA Phek unit, will be responsible for its implementation and the district transport officer shall ensure strict enforcement of the order and initiate regular checking of the sane and submit report to DTF COVID-19 on weekly basis or as and when required.
