Shamator Town Public Forum (STPF) has expressed displeasure over the transfer of Shamator Community Health Centre (CHC) Medical Officer (MO) without a replacement for the same.In a press statement, STPF president, S.Yanhokiu and general secretary, K.Hankiu said the transfer of the MO without any “instant reliever” was an utter injustice, bias and inhumanity act towards the entire Shamator town community. The forum pointed out that the centre which was upgraded from Primary Health Centre (PHC) to CHC on May 7, 2014 has not received any “single amenities” required to run a CHC.
STPF said the centre has been “functioning unchanged and candidly under pathetic conditions”. Questioning the lackadaisical attitude of government towards the community, the forum has urged the government to intervene without any further delay.
