Minister for PWD (housing & mechanical), Tongpang Ozukum virtually inaugurated the recently completed “metalling and carpeting” of the circular road, at Longmisa village under Mokokchung district on Friday.
Speaking as the inaugural guest, Tongpang Ozukum thanked the state chief minister for the allocation of fund for the road.
Tongpang claimed that the virtual programme was a step towards the “change is coming” slogan of the PDA government.
Longmisa village council chairman, Yashiemba Jamir, 24 Angetyongpang a/c president, Nungshimangyang Ozukum and independent party Longmisa unit, president Nungshikaba Jamir also delivered short speeches.
The function was chaired by Pangerzulu Jamir, invocation was said by Sentitemjen Pongen while benediction was said by Nokentemjen Pongen.
Speaking to media persons, PS to the minister, Nungshilemba who is also from Longmisa village, stated that the circular road was constructed under SRDP 20-21, which was about a kilometre from the village gate to the village ground.
