
Zunheboto Town Two-Lane Monitoring Committee (ZTTLMC) has requested stakeholders under SARDP Sumi Area Affected Landowners Welfare Committee (SSAALWC) to halt their protest and provide an exemplary action focusing on upcoming generations.
In a press statement, ZTTLMC said it strongly supports SSAALWC for compensation incurred in the destruction of valuable immovable assets in process of road development under their area.
While extending support to Deputy Commissioner (DC) Zunheboto order dated May 27, 2021, the committee also acknowledged the landowners of Xuivi, Satakha Village, KiyekhuandYemishe villages for their “emancipation towards the ongoing two lane construction”.
ZTTLMC also asserted the pending case of compensation by the Maytas&Gayatri at High Court.
The committee has appealed the landowners to support the two-lane road construction without any obstruction so as to complete the quality work within stipulated time allotted to the construction company.
ZTTLMC reminded that the committee was set up during the first joint meeting of Zunheboto Area Public Organistaion (ZAPO), ZunhebotoTokukujoKukami (ZTK), ZunhebotoSumiTotimiHoho (ZSTH) and Zunheboto Range Students’ Union (ZRSU) under the aegis of Zunheboto Town GBs Association (ZTGBA) on April 30.
The committee asserted that its core objective was to supervise and monitor for the quality workmanship and has requested all concern to pave way for the smooth development of two-lane construction from Chakhabama to Zunheboto.
