Organisations condole demise of Toshi Wungtung

Organisations and individuals have condoled the demise of late Toshi Wungtung, advisor IPR, SCERT and Village Guards, who passed away on July 1 at New Delhi after a brief illness.

WYH: Western Yimchunger Hoho said it was utterly shocked and pained to learn the sudden and untimely demise of late Toshi Wungtung.

In a condolence message, WYH said late Toshi was a true and noteworthy son of the Yimchunger community in particular and the Naga people in general. The hoho said that many of his pioneering work would go a long way to benefit his people and beyond. In his demise, WYH said the vacuum created would be difficult to fill for many days to come. The hoho prayed to the Almighty to grant strength and solace to the bereaved family members and eternal peace to the departed soul. 

ENDBU: Eastern Nagaland Dobashis Union and all the DBs of five district Tuensang, Mon, Longleng, Kiphire and Noklak have expressed condolences on the demise of late Toshi Wungtung.

In a condolence message, ENDBU described late Toshi as a tall and dynamic, simple, a good orator and a visionary leader. ENDBU said his passing away has created a big vacuum and was a great loss to the people of ENPO in particular and Nagas in general.

Further, ENDBU conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that the Almighty God would grant comfort and strength to them at this time of grief and eternal peace to the departed soul.

ESH: Eastern Sumi Hoho (ESH) has expressed grief over the demise of Toshi Wungtung. 

ESH said that his death was not only a big loss to his family members but particular to all citizens living in the Eastern. 

ESH described late Toshi as “rare breed of politician” who had remained committed for the progress and development for his people till his last breath. The hoho prayed that the almighty God provide solace and comfort to the bereaved family members at this moment of sorrow. 

CVSU: Expressing deep grief over the demise of Toshi Wungtung, Chessore Village Student’s Union (CVSU) said the deceased had a significant record of services to Yimchunger community, Eastern Nagas and Nagas in general with great diligence in different capacities. CVSU described late Toshi as a rare leader with sense of public service, innate simplicity, charismatic and statesman. In his demise, CVSU said the Yimchunger community and the state has lost an eminent political leader and an excellent human being.

Further, CVSU conveyed condolences and sympathies to the member of the bereaved family and prayed to the Almighty God to give them strength to withstand the loss. 

Rev. Yamyap Konyak: State Chaplin Rev. Yamyap Konyak has deeply mourned the untimely demise of late Toshi Wungtung. The Chaplin said late Toshi was an active member of the Nagaland Legislators’ Christian Fellowship (NLCF). Rev. Konyak said he was privileged to deliver the Gospel of Jesus Christ at late Toshi’s official residence in Kohima. The state Chaplin on his behalf and the fellowship has conveyed deepest condolences to Mrs. Lipokla and the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
