Taking strong note of the purported video that has gone viral involving three teenage girls, the Zeme Students’ Union (N) and Liangmai Students’ Union (N) Friday said that the girls have been directed to stop sharing of the video on social media or any other platforms.

In a joint press release, ZSU (N) president Pauchilei Neume and LSU (N) representative Tingwangsi Newmai stated that they had a joint sitting with the parents and the teenage girls on the circumstances that led to their video going viral.

The two student bodies stated that after conducting proper analysis they concluded that the intention of the video was due to “some online facebook friends.” The two unions also said the teenage girls confessed to the “unintentional act and admitted their mistakes with regret” and vowed not to repeat such act.

In this regard, the two unions have cautioned to take action against any person sharing the particular video. The two unions further warned that any individuals or groups indulging in such unwanted act that defamed the community would be dealt with strictly.
