Mokokchung police recovered a dead body near district veterinary office, Yimyu ward Mokokchung on July 21, around 11 p.m. According to Mokokchung police PRO, upon investigation, personnel of Mokokchung police station II identified the dead body as Wongto Alen (34), son of late Ongbou, Chingmei village, Noklak, presently residing in Dimapur.
Accordingly, PRO said the body was examined in the presence of executive magistrate and independent witness. On completion of postmortem, the body was handed over to the relatives of the deceased. In this connection, a case was registered with PS II Mokokchung, PRO said, adding that a follow up investigation was on.
