
SBI Dimapur region organised a cluster finance programme for Self Help Groups (SHGs) at Niathu Resort on Saturday.
The programme was conducted in the presence of SBI General Manager, Network II, North East Circle, Lunkim Thangboi and was also graced by Deputy General Manager (B&O),AO Jorhat, Ajanta Hazarika, ; Regional Manager, Dimapur Region, Abinash Hembrom and AGM FI, Rajneesh Kumar.
Sanction letters to members of 101 SHGs comprising mostly of women under the cluster of Niuland, Sechu-Zubza, Medziphema, Chumukedima, Jalukie and Diphupar were presented by the general manager on the occasion.
28 trainees, who have completed their vocational training in piggery from SBI Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI), Jalukie were also handed over sanction letters under Mudra Piggery Scheme.
Speaking on the occasion, Thangboi highlighted on the importance of credit linkage to the SHGs and the important role its members in developing the society and entrepreneurship in the state.
He stressed on the important role of women in managing the household finances with prudence.
