
There will be total shutdown of power from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily between October 11 and November 6 under Mokokchung transmission division due to scheduled vegetation clearance of 132kV & 66kV transmission lines.
Mokokchung transmission division executive engineer Ahoto Aye, said that the exercise has been necessitated with the aim to provide stable power supply and avoid unwarranted disruption of power supply.
The power department appealed to everyone in the affected areas to extend cooperation and bear the inconvenience during the shutdown period.
As per the schedule provided by the executive engineer, Tuli sub-division, Longleng and Mon district would be affected by the shutdown between October 11 and 19 when vegetation clearance will be carried out on 66kV Mokokchung-Tuli, 66kV Tuli-N/Mora, 66kV N/Mora-Tizit and 66kV Tizit-Mon transmission lines.
Similarly, Zunheboto district will be affected when the vegetation clearance is carried out on 66kV Mokokchung-Zunheboto transmission line from October 18 to 23. Tuensang district will be affected between October 23 and 26 on when the clearance is carried out on 66kV Mokokchung-Tuensang transmission line.
The vegetation clearance will be carried out on 132kV Mokokchung-Mariani transmission line between November 1 and 6.
