The 18th annual prayer meeting of Northern Sumi Community Dimapur (NSCD) was held on October 22 at Tourist Lodge Conference hall.
The programme aimed at promoting togetherness and unity was held under the theme “mussa, susho & xuqhe”.
At the prayer meeting, Dimapur Sumi Baptist Church, pastor, Juliet Shikhu exhorted the gathering besides sharing the word of God and praying for the congregation.
Also speaking on the occasion, chairperson of the NSCD, Kughalu Chishi said it was imperative for the community to be closely knitted together both socially and spiritually.
He urged upon the members to be flag bearers of social harmony in the society and also to be active in participating in social activities.
Earlier, the programme chaired by Northern Sumi Community Dimapur secretary, Tokheho Chophy began with an invocation by Bokali Chishi.
