
Inderjit Camotra has been appointed as the first CEO of Unity Bank. Born in Kohima, Inderjit Camotra is the son of late Darshan Singh, who was the Law & Justice Secretary, government of Nagaland.
Inderjit was also a Nagaland High School Board topper and gold medallist, having studied at Baptist High and Little Flower School. He then pursued Engineering at IIT Delhi and pursued his MBA at New York. Unity Bank commenced operations on November 1, after the Reserve Bank of India granted it a Banking Licence. The Bank has been promoted by Centrum Group & Bharat Pe, and seeks to be India’s Digital Bank. The Bank has started with Equity of Rs. 1100 crores with over two lakh customers. Unity Bank will also take over the ailing PMC Bank which has Rs.10,600 cr of deposits and over 10 lakh customers and also plans to have over 150 branches across India.
