Minister of State for Defence, Ajay Bhatt arrived Dimapur on Saturday for a two-day visit to review the security situation and operational preparedness.
During the visit, MoS was briefed by senior military leaders on operational readiness along Northern borders and the ongoing counter insurgency operations in the North Eastern states at Rangapahar military station and Kohima garrison.
He also laid wreath at the Rangapahar war memorial to pay homage to those who had made sacrifices in the line of duty.
Later, he interacted with troops and commended them for their professionalism and high morale.
It may be mentioned that the MoS would cover Dimapur and Kohima during this two-day visit and meet leaders of the state.
