Dr. Rochill encouraged the believers to remain firm and hold on to faith regardless of circumstances and situations in one’s life for the word of God was still alive and nothing could come to pass until it was fulfilled.
As a believer of this present time, we must hold on to the word of God much more than the philosophy and culture of this world, the reverend exhorted.
In the programme, ex-evangelist Rev. Henito Achumi said the benediction.
Meanwhile on the second day, ex-pastor, Rev. Khuviqhe said the invocation, Aghunato area church leaders presented special song and Anderson Theological College presented the choir.
In the word of God, literature secretary, Rev. Picuto Yepthomi spoke on the topic “fighting the battle on knees”.
Rev. Yepthomi encouraged the congregation and said that though the battle was tough, there would be victory if one fought it on the knees.
He cited examples from the lives of godly men and women in the Bible such as Daniel who fought the battle on the knees though there was an evil device against him and his faith.
In the same way he took the example of queen Esther who stood for her people in prayer and sought deliverance in the mighty hand of God.
When one kneels in prayer in the presence of God there is miraculous victory and deliverance in our lives, Rev. Yepthomi said. He pointed out that prayer was not a time to ask or demand all that people wanted but it should be more like asking what God wanted us to do and what His will was.
A special ceremony for ordaining four pastors as reverend was also conducted during the service ministered by its association executive secretary Rev. Mulato Chishi.
There would be declaration of new SBAK staff and pastor transfer during the following services.
