Nagaland has recorded a significant decline in weekly Covid-19 positive cases for the past three weeks, with the weekly sample positivity rate (WSPR) dropping to 4.5% from 6.5% the previous week.
However, according to the weekly bulletin released by the state health & welfare department (H&FW) on Saturday, WSPR in Wokha witnessed a surge in positivity rate at 12.5% as compared to the previous week which was 10.8%.
During the week (February 12-18), the state recorded 223 positive cases and three Covid-19 deaths.
Weekly Covid-19 hospital admissions have shown a decline for the past three weeks, H&FW said, adding that 11 new admissions were recorded from Covid-19 hospitals during the week.
State logs 15 fresh cases: Nagaland on Saturday recorded 15 fresh Covid-19 positive cases while no deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.
Of the fresh cases, seven were from Dimapur, four in Mokokchung and one each in Kohima, Peren and Phek, taking the total caseload to 35355.
