NGBF selects newteam of office bearers

Nagaland GB Federation (NGBF) during its general session which was held in Phek district on April 20-21 selected a new team of office bearers for the tenure 2022-2026.
In a press release, NGBF sessional chairman T. Nyupuli and sessional secretary Hetoho S. Zhimomi informed that the new team would be led by L. Sahlem Konyak as president, Shikuto Zalipu as general secretary, vice president- Kashito Yepthomi, Along Jamir, Phuzuhu Vero, Hangdi Zeliang, Hongsa Chang, Vineipra Pienyu (finance incharge), Taku Longkumar, P. Nzanbemo Tungoe along with six secretaries and three other members. During the session, the house also deliberated on Indo-Naga political issue and resolved to appeal to the government of India for early Naga political solution before assembly election 2023.
It discussed that the Naga political talks were successfully concluded with all Naga negotiating groups on October 31, 2019.
In this regard, NGBF appealed to the centre to immediately set to work and give formal direction for signing Indo-Naga agreement without delay. In order to make clarity of some articles and clauses of NGBF’s constitution, the members felt the need to amend it. The house, therefore resolved to constitute a five-member committee and endorsed them to coordinate with commissioner of Nagaland for necessary implementation.
