Mokokchung Town Lanur Telongjem (MTLT) delegation called on former Governor and former Chief Minister, Dr SC Jamir at his private residence at Arkong Ward, Mokokchung on Friday.
In a press release, MTLT media cell said that Dr. Jamir, who welcomed the delegation, shared his view on the present socio-political scenario of Nagaland state. He also encouraged the youth body to be “conscientious” and study the happenings that were going around in the society as they are being considered as future and hope of the society.
Dr. Jamir also urged the MTLT to be an agent of change especially with regard to clean election so that capable leaders were elected to the legislative assembly.
He reminded them to take the clean election in a practical manner and to not be induced by money in electing the leaders.
Further, he called upon the MTLT to look at the future and envision how the youths can excel in education so that the best engineers, doctors, academicians etc. can be produced, who can become an asset to the society.
Earlier, MTLT president Imnaonen Pongen, while introducing the delegation said that the MTLT officials, who had recently taken charge, wanted to visit Dr. Jamir to seek his blessings, advice and guidance as they embarked on the newer responsibilities in the society.
