G-Sports Football Club management team members and players visited the Kohima Orphanage and Destitute Home (KODH) as part of their social responsibility on Thursday.
During a short programme, management team convenor, Hulie Belho, exhorted the children to take interest in sports as it was one area where there was enough room for everyone to be able to earn a livelihood.
The club also handed out sports goods to the children to encourage and draw their attention towards the sports. G-Sports FC was formed in 2017 with an aim to promote sports and provide platform for local talents.
Thanking its sponsors and well-wishers for making their activities possible both on and off the pitch, G-Sports FC announced that it would continue its participation in upcoming sporting events and remains dedicated towards the promotion of sports and local talents in “our community.”
The club had participated in the recently concluded Kohima Super Cup and had an impressive run of no loses till the semi-final round where it lost to the runners-up of the tourney, Barak FC, in a penalty shootout after a draw of 3 goals each.
