First Rajpukhuri angling competition held in Dimapur

The first Rajpukhuri Angling competition organised by Rajpukhuri Angling Management was held at Rajpukhuri Pond, Purana Bazaar, Dimapur on June 11.
Shubhashish Deb (Bablu) emerged as the champion with the biggest catch and walked away a Pulsar motorcycle.
Chipen Patton, who secured second spot won a scooty while Akaito Sumi finished third and won a Firefox bicycle. 25 other participants also won prizes in different categories.
President NSCN/GPRN, Akato Chophy, graced the closing function and gave away the prizes.
He congratulated all the winners and encouraged the promotion of angling as a sport and ecotourism activity.
The event concluded with a benediction prayer pronounced by director, Gospel Light Prayer Centre, Burma Camp, Dimapur, Dr. Mughai Achumi.
A total number of 241 anglers including female anglers and those from Assam, Manipur and Tripura participated in the day long competition.
