Advisor for Sericulture, Excise & Minority Affairs, Zhaleo Rio on August 10 inaugurated the District Education Officer (DEO) office, Chümoukedima at the deputy commissioner (DC) Chümoukedima office complex.
According to a DIPR report, speaking at the occasion, Zhaleo lamented that some government schools were not performing to the desired standard.
He then urged the department and teachers to improve education quality in government schools as acquiring quality education was vital for students.
The inaugural programme was attended by principal director, Department of School Education (DoSE) Kohima, Thavaseelan K, DC Chümoukedima, Abhinav Shivam, senior officials from DoSE and teachers.
