A day after the Rising People’s Party (RPP) served an ultimatum over the directive to chief medical officers (CMOs) and medical superintendents (MS) to assist the State BJP in conducing medical camps in the state from September 19 to October 1, Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) department has clarified that all CMOs and MS were requested to cooperate and give assistance if required in the medical camp in the interest of citizen’s health.
In a clarification, H&FW principal director Dr. K Vikato Kinimi stated that it was never the intention of the department to order the staff to organise the medical camp in favour of any party or organisation. “Any untoward misunderstanding is regretted,” H&FW principal director stated.
