Mhathung inaugurates SDHO at Ralan area

Advisor of Horticulture & Border Affairs, Mhathung Yanthan inaugurated the Sub-Divisional Horticulture Office (SDHO) at Ralan area, under Wokha district on October 15.
Speaking at the inaugural programme as special guest, Mhathung Yanthan expressed hope that the SDHO would benefit the public and bring prosperity through various activities.
He stated that the public should continue extending their cooperation to the officials deputed in the office and work together for developmental work.
Sharing that the pandemic hampered many development activities, the advisor, however, stated that the government had always focused on agri & allied sector.
In this regard, he suggested the people to put it at top priority and to make use of its availability as Ralan area was potential for horticulture and agriculture practices.
Urging upon the people in the area to live in peaceful co-existence with neighbouring villages and bordering areas, Mhathung also advised them to adapt to technological changes and to use it in a way that enhances productivity.
At the programme, the office monolith was unveiled by the special guest in the presence of advisor of Information Technology & Communication Science & Technology, NRE, Mmhonlümo Kikon as special host.
In his address, Mmhonlümo acknowledged the department for the support rendered to the area and advised the people in the area to take advantage of the benefit.
Pointing out that development processes cannot be carried out in one go, he urged upon the people to safe guard developmental project so that they can be used for the welfare of the community.
Short speeches were also delivered by director of Horticulture & mission director MIDH, Dr. R. Elithung Lotha, Ralan Area Lotha Hoho C.S. Ovung and commissioner & secretary Horticulture & Women Resources Development, Anenla T. Sato.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by directorate of horticulture, joint director Meyasashi, welcome address was delivered by DHO Wokha Aoimrong while the monolith was dedicated by Yanpha Baptist Church pastor Rhanlamo Kikon.
Later, vote of thanks was proposed by SDHO Nyambemo Lotha.
It may be mentioned that several Sub-Divisional Horticulture Offices have been inaugurated at Tobu, Pfütsero, Tuli, Tening, Meluri, Sanis, Mangkolemba and more would be inaugurated at Seyochang, Chiephobozou and Pughoboto.
