Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) on clean electoral roll and clean election campaign was held at Gen. Zuheto Memorial Town Hall Satakha, Saturday.
According to a DIPR report, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Zunheboto, Rahul Bhanudas Mali while lauding the peaceful and clean nature of people living in Satakha urged them to maintain the peaceful spirit during the ensuing state assembly election.
Reminding the people that it was Lt. Gen. Zuheto and Lt. Kughato’s dream that the people of Satakha live in peace and harmony, he asked them to fulfil the dreams of their departed leaders.
The DC also cautioned against illegal or unlawful activities during election time, saying that perpetrators would be detained and strictly dealt with.
Mali also asked the government officials posted in the district not to be biased against any political parties or person and not to campaign or work for any political parties.
The DC then asked the people to submit the legal arms to the administration and announced “an award of more supply of rice” to any village who submits more arms to the administration.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Zunheboto, Vishal Chauhan requested people living in Satakha to be a guiding light for Zunheboto district by making the ensuing election “violence free”.
He also requested the people to corporate with the administration to ensure peaceful and violence free election. The SP assured that he would be available 24/7, for any problem.
Earlier short speeches were delivered by chairman Satakha GBs association, Hokugha and VCC Xuivi Village, L Toshiho Naga.
The programme was also attended by GBs and village Council chairman, colony GBs, colony chairman of Suruhoto town, all unit officials of recognised political parties under 33 AC and representatives from various civil society organisations.

According to DIPR report, Deputy Commissioner Rahul Bhanudas Mali for violence-free election and added that there would be no option but to take action against the perpetrators if found indulging in unfair practices during elections.
He cautioned that any village found declaring 100% support to any candidate or any political party, that particular village would be blacklisted and stern action will be taken against that particular village.
Superintendent of Police, Zunheboto Vishal Chauhan also encouraged the people to corporate with the administration and asked them to contact him in the event of any problem.
Head GB Phuye Old, Tokiho Awomi and chairman, Surumi Village Council, Vitoi Awomi also spoke during the programme.
