Keoshu graces CAGBA 33rd general session

Chessore Area GBs Association (CAGBA) held its 33rd general session at Kiutsükiur Village with Advisor IPR and Village Guards, S. Keoshu Yimkhiung as special guest on December 10.
According to a DIPR report, speaking at the programme, Yimkhiung emphasised on simplicity and truth, and encouraged the people to imbibe the good values of their ancestors.
Stating that village authorities and village chieftains are the foundation of Naga society, he said strong village authority was imperative for a progressive village as GBs are the keepers of the customs and traditions.
Yimkhiung also encouraged the village leaders to revive the village economy by giving importance to farming especially the cash crops. The programme was chaired by CAGBA vice president, Mukam; invocation by KVBC pastor, Kiumehan; welcome speech by Hd.GB. Kiutsükiur Village, T. Zhelo; keynote address by CAGBA president, Tochimong; short speech by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shamator, Thsuvisie Phoji and YTC president, S. Throngso; folk song by Kiutsükiur Cultural Troupe, vote of thanks by CAGBA finance secretary, K. Throngkiuba and benediction by W.P. KBC, R. Yansola.
