Daeshin Academy celebrated silver jubilee on February 10 at Diphupar B, Chumoukedima with pastor, Sammoon Church Miryang City, South Korea, Rev Choi Hanzu as the main speaker.
Addressing the gathering, Rev Choi said education was always a prime concern of Christendom, for the fate of the Kingdom of God relied on people, which was the object of education. He cited the example of Moses’ final word, who commanded the people of Israel to educate the next generation so that they may keep the law of God.
He observed that the final word of Jesus overlaps with the word of Moses, as both were about the next generation, the Kingdom of God, and education. He also added that multiple passages in the Bible edify the importance of education.
He thereby encouraged and challenged the younger generation to take over this work and continue to expand the kingdom of God through Christian education.
“So let us be challenged by the word of God that educating our children is life and promise to the kingdom of God. Let’s continue with the excellent work and participate in the ministry of God to give hope and life to the next generation”, he said.
Narrating the story of how the school was established, he noted that he met Ding Kenye, and after that meeting, God shared with them the vision of Dashin Academy. He said that they worked with many leaders who passionately sacrificed their time and energy to build this school, however none would claim that it was their work. “Everything was God’s work and His grace toward us. We just served as agents”, he stated.
He later thanked God for initiating the project (School) and for allowing him to join His excellent work, and also thanked Masan Jeil, Daeshindong, Seoul Shimin, and Purnsoop Church for their faithful support and prayers.
He also noted that without Chakhesang Baptist Church Council (CBCC), all local churches, and fellow leaders, the school couldn’t be built, and thereby expressed sincere gratitude to all. He also thanked all teachers, staffs, and students for their effort and hard work in building a legacy.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by convener, organizing committee, SK Kenye, prayer of adoration was offered by Rev Dr Dingu Kenye and release of souvenir initiated by elder, Jeong Jinseong.
Tidings of joy was delivered by executive secretary, CBCC, Rev. Dr. C Cho-o, scripture reading by Ketholeno Nuvocho and thanksgiving prayer and blessings by Rev K Luruo.
