NBSE informs on conduct of board exams 2023

Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) on February 21 held an online meeting with all the Centre superintendents during which the members, besides discussing about the duties and responsibilities, were briefed about the conduct the examination with fairness following the instructions given by the Board. (“Rules for conduct of HSLC & HSSLC Examinations” available in the Board’s website www.nbsenl.edu.in.)


NBSE further informed that candidates are required to bring their original admit cards to the examination hall/room on all the days of the examination. Candidates are also requested to read the question paper carefully before they start to write the answers. Answers to the questions should be written keeping in mind the marks allotted to it.
Candidates are to note the following permitted items and barred items:
Permitted items: admit card, school identity card, stationery item i.e. transparent pouch, geometry/pencil box, blue/royal blue ball point/gel pen, scale, writing board, eraser, analogue watch and transparent water bottles, bus card


Items barred: Any stationery item– such as textual material (printed or written), bits of papers, Calculator, Pen Drives, Electronics Pen/Scanner, etc. any communication device– such as mobile phone, bluetooth, earphones, microphone, pager, health band, camera, etc. Items like wallet, goggles, handbags, pouches, etc., any eatable item opened or packed, except for diabetic candidates and any other item which could be used for unfair means.
The Board re-iterated that candidates must shade/darken the roll number on the front page of the OMR of the answer book correctly/properly.


Candidates have also been reminded to maintain discipline and refrain from any kind of mal-practices during examinations. The Board cautioned that anyone resorting to unfair means in the examinations would be dealt as per the rules of the Board.

Further, candidates have been advised to reach the exam centre in time by moving out from home early.
