Naga Mothers’ Association (NMA) has expressed its gratitude to political parties for taking cognizance of women representation in Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) by giving tickets to women candidates in the just-concluded election.
The association in a press release also congratulated Salhoutuonuo Kruse and Hekani Jakhalu Kense for their victory and creating history by become the first women to enter NLA.
NMA said it believed that NDPP would honour these two strong women by including them in the ministry of the coalition government.
“We congratulate Er Kahuli Sema and Rosy Thomson for overcoming the tough battle as candidates in the recent election in Nagaland,” the release stated.
The association also wished them in their political future and said it expected them to shine as fine examples for younger women to follow.
