NavSahyog Foundation, a Banglore based NGO, working in 20 villages under Dhansiripar Circle celebrated “women’s day, annual award distribution and football launch” at council hall, Bade Village.
This was informed in a press release issued by Field Coordinator, Dimapur NavSahyog Foundation, Likivi Zhimo.
The release further informed that more than hundreds of participants including chairman and GB of Amaluma village, K. Ela Director Prodigals Home, Dr. Toli Kiba professor NEISSR, Angwanwadi worker, Asha Worker, NavSahyog Team and well-wishers attended the programme.


Co-Founder, NavSahyog Foundation, Mary Dolly gave an overview of the programme and thanked all the GBs, chairmen, community members and Infosys, and donor, for the support in implementing the programme in Dimapur.
NavSahyog Foundation’s Core programme aimed to develop life skills and creativity in village children through sports, story-telling, creative activities and experiential learning.
The programme will be conducted for one hour on a daily basis after School hours, and to be conducted by village coordinators who were selected from each village and trained. NavSahyog Foundation is currently working in 245 villages across Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Nagaland.
Director Prodigals Home, K. Ela, who was the guest speaker, spoke on the topic of Women’s Day, highlighted the importance of women to become digitally empowered and encouraged the parents on the importance of educating a girl child.


She also spoke about the role of men in the lives of a women and how equally, both genders can contribute for the Welfare of the Society.
Professor NEISSR, Dr. Toli. Kiba, the guest speaker on the topic “Life Skill development in the life of a child”, explained that a child learns not only in the four walls of the classrooms but while involved in games and sports and other activities.
Head GB, Rubinon Naben of Amaluma village, thanked the organization for introducing the programme in the village and also for officially launching the football activity to be included in the Navsahyog program for the Children.
Hemtaidi, Football Player and Village Coordinator of Doyapur, spoke on the benefits of football and team spirit of the players.
The event also witnessed cultural activities of dance and songs by children and village coordinators.
