Assam Rifles conduct activities

Assam Rifles under the aegis of Inspector General of Assam Rifles (IGAR-North) conducted various programmes across the state.
Tuensang Bn: Tuensang battalion of Assam Rifles coordinated “education first initiative” for the unemployed youth on March 17 at Menchangle Village, Mon district. The battalion said the aim was to promote government occupational schemes amongst the unemployed youth and guide them about the process of application and examination. During the programme, the participants were also briefed about the “Agniveer” scheme.
In a separate event, the battalion also organised a friendly volleyball match with students of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya Girls Hostel, Bumei Village, under “Naari Shakti Initiative” on March 18 at Changlanshu COB, Mon district.
Chieswama Bn: Chieswama battalion of Assam Rifles organised medical clinic on occasion of “National Vaccination Day” on March 16 at Sumi Village, Phek district.
