
Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Tokheho Yepthomi underscored the importance of coordination between departments and identifying the villages, and beneficiaries for effective implementation of central schemes.
According to a DIPR report, the MP, who is also the chairperson of District Development Co- ordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA), was addressing the officers at DISHA meeting held at the Conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Nuiland, office on April 3.
Tokheho also encouraged the departments to sensitise the public on various central schemes so that the grass root level could avail the benefits.
He reminded that the committee was set up to monitor the efficient and time bound development of centrally sponsored schemes all over the state.
The MP also advised the gathering to adapt with change of time and challenges.
During the meeting, the department of Food & Civil Supplies, Social Welfare, Agriculture, Horticulture, Medical, Education R&B, PHED, RD and Land Resources gave detailed presentation of central schemes implementation from the year 2018- 2022.
The committee members also deliberated on various schemes and implementation in the district.
