Dimapur Young Xl emerged as the champion of the Dimapur District Cricket Association’s U-16 trophy by defeating Zakiesato Memorial Hr. Sec. School on May 7 at DDSC ground, Dimapur.
Elected to bat first, Dimapur Young Xl scored 210 runs fors in 25 overs. In reply, Zakiesato were bundle out for 70 runs in 11 overs.
The player of the tournament was bagged by Dipu Gupta (Dimapur Young Xl); Best batsman – Raja (Dimapur Young Xl); Best bowler – Sajid Lashkar (Zakiesato Memorial Hr. Sec. School); Best wicket keeper – Akash (Dimapur Young Xl) and best discipline team – St. Mary’s School. The price distribution ceremony was graced by former vice president of NCA, P. B Jamir.
