NSCN/GPRN (Niki) has expressed serious concerned over rampant rise of illegal activities including drug trafficking and scams of various forms, duping innocent Naga public, destroying the Naga society.
In a press note issued by the MIP, the group observed that all such anti-social elements, taking toll in Nagaland are being boldly practiced allegedly “under the nose of occupational state police force and are also harbored by its personnel and organized groups.”
MIP said that the NSCN/GPRN authority was “committed and hard bent to curb all such activities and shall initiate stern action against anyone found involved in anti-social activities.”
MIP, therefore, warned that the NSCN/GPRN “shall not be responsible or answerable for occurrences of any unfavorable consequences due to hindrance caused by any individual, group or occupational state police in the efforts of the NSCN/GPRN to contain anti-social elements.”
NSCN/GPRN said it firmly believed that it was the responsibility of every citizen and organization to stand against anything destroying the society and that is against the wishes of the common people.
It asserted that various forms of scams and modus operandi and other illegal activities of vested interest individuals and groups has become a menace to Naga society and needed to be stopped.
MIP said, as desired by the Nagas at large, the NSCN/GPRN had come out of the jungle and revived the ceasefire agreement with Government of India. NSCN/GPRN was committed to strive in spirit and in deeds to unite the people, for long lasting peace and progress of Naga people, for finding solution to Naga political struggle, it added.
Since time immemorial, MIP said that Nagas have lived independently and free from any subjugation. Therefore, MIP said that the NSCN/GPRN, in its utmost sincerity to struggle for achieving the inherent rights of the Naga people, stands firm and outright for the wishes and aspirations of the people.
MIP asserted that it shall not allow anti-social and illegal activities which are rapidly destroying the society.
