Landowners Patadars (LOP), whose lands are under army occupation in Dimapur town, held its general meeting on May 24 at Tourist Lodge Dimapur, and discussed various issues and problems pertaining to army occupied land.
A press release by LOP president, K Thong and secretary, Ajao Kense informed that during the meeting, the house unanimously resolved to cooperate with the new team of office bearers “in matter of persuasion”, and also decided to use “legal support whenever necessary”.
After the meeting, a forum of LOP also met Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dimapur and informed the latter about the pending matter and the need to “finalize the matter”.
LOP said the DC and RO briefed the forum about some difficulties regarding army occupied land matter.
In this regard, the forum expressed hope that the DC Dimapur would do the needful to “push the prolong matter towards finalization”.
