TDBA organizes ‘Basketball Camp’

The Tseminyu District Basketball Association (TDBA) held its first edition of ‘Basketball Camp’ on July 4at Tseminyu Town with NSNIS certified coach Vikukhol Zao, official coach, TDBA and Salew Kadete, captain, nagaland state basketball team as resource persons assisted by students of Sports Coaching NSNIS , Bangalore namely, Rolio Lohe, Sharman Lama, and Sentitoshi Jamir.
Enthusiast and pioneer of Basketball scene in Nagaland, Keluongutuo Suokhrie, vice president (technical), Kohima District Basketball Association (KDBA) accompanied by Neichütuo Rutsa attended the event and encouraged campers with their participation.
Ajo Tsela, President, Rengma Students Union and executives of other Sports Association of Tseminyu District also arrived to inspect and encourage campers.
The Welcome address was delivered by .Kegwalo Kemp, President, TDBA followed by invocation and words of encouragement by Rev. Fr. G. L. Khing ,Vice Principal, North East Institute of Social Sciences and Research, Chümoukedima.
The introduction and orientation was made by Mitsalo Kath, vice president,TDBA. Session 1 included the basic theory and practical concepts of Basketball Sport followed by a lunch break. Session 2 was mostly practical with warm-up drills, exercises, layup drills, shooting drills and other basic practical concepts.
TDBA further stated that it would like to thank ADC,Tseminyu District, Tseminyu Town Council, Residents of Rest house Colony, Ward no. 3, Tseminyu Town, Women Club Tseminyu Town, TAFMA Tseminyu District, TepTech Kohima, Eclipse Academy Tseminyu Town, Rural Legions Club Tseminyu Town, well-wishers, patrons and kind individuals and families who rendered free services for preparation of the camp
A total of 59 campers attended the event and including the resource persons and management team, 79 people were present.
