A unidentified bodies of non-Naga males were recovered on August 27 between DMR-RXR section over KM 257/6-7 at Railway Station, Dimapur, police said.
In a press release, Dy. Commissioner of Police (Crime) & PRO, Dimapur said that on receiving information, the duty party rushed to the site and found two unidentified persons both lying inside and outside at the railway track.
It was suspected that the two deceased were ran over by a running train, PRO said.
During the inquest, the dead bodies were thoroughly checked, to establish the identities but no identification cards or mobile phones were found.
PRO said on completion of all legal formalities the dead body has been shifted to District Hospital morgue for post-mortem examination and identification.
One of the deceased was wearing black T-shirt and the other wearing black half pant and white vest. Claimant/relatives/friends of the deceased have been requested to contact the Officer-in-Charge, GRPS, Dimapur. (7085055021)
